My mother collects all sorts of things. She will not throw anything away if it is still usable even if she herself will never use it again. This means that her house is overflowing with things. Every so often I try to take a few things away in the pretence that I need them and then I give them away to a charity shop. It sounds mean but I think there is a risk that she will never get through the front door if we do not do something soon. I have decided to tackle her about it and perhaps try to get her to organise things better. I think that if I get her some shoe storage for example, she will realise quite how many pairs of shoes she has and how ridiculous it is to keep so many. I also plan to sort out all her photographs into some sort of photo storage and hopefully she will be able to keep them neat and all on one place. I am hoping to make a bit more room for her by using some space bags for her linen and clothing. However, I have one big concern that if I make her more space, she might start to accumulate more things.
